Interview with Anne Savage ahead of BIG Heroes & Villains on 21 November 2009
BEM talked to Anne Savage ahead of BIG: Heroes & Villains event.

How has 2009 been for you?
Fantastic, I launched my new label “Siren Trax” which has been really enjoyable if hard work -the 3rd release is out on December 14th ‘Pure Sensation” by me & Kidd Kaos. The main part of the year has been working on my collaboration artist album with BK which is due out next March, I’m really pleased with the outcome and it was a massive learning curve. Before that I’m releasing the ‘Tidy Xmas Album” on December 18th which is compilation album of the hottest hard dance tracks from various artists that I’ve hand picked myself.
What do you think of the clubbing scene in 2009 has it got better or worse through the recent recession?
There’s no doubt people have less money and many have lost a fair bit, however I don’t think you can stop people going out, I remember when I was younger I never let the small matter of having no money stop me going to any parties. The good events are still selling out which proves my point.
Who has been your producer of 2009?
I’d have to say BK
Anything exciting planned for 2010 yet?
Yes the album that I was telling you about is coming out in early March, the first single from which is ‘Sweet Sensation” will be released as a single in February, it’s a version of one of my all time fave tunes from the 90’s by Shades Of Rythm. I hope you like it, I do! We’ll be touring the album together for the first half of next year in the UK and further afield. The album is called “Pandemic” and we’ll be making a full announcement over the next few weeks.
You have played at a fair few BIG parties before, when you think of BIG, what do you think of?
I’ve always had a great time, it’s a fantastic venue and a great crowd, I’m really looking forward to coming back.
Whats the best, Facebook, Twitter or DSI?
Well I love them all for different reasons, Twitter I do completely myself, whereas the upkeep and maintenance of Facebook and DSI requires the helpful hand of my lovely PR lady Kris, who also updates all the info on my website www.djannesavage.com, MySpace and Bebo!
If you could be any, which hero or villain would you be?
I always liked Spiderman, but at the end of the day, he still feels pain so I’ll choose Magnito from the Xmen, imagine the havoc you could wreak?!
If you could choose, which super power would you like to have?
It would be good to read minds actually, very handy in a business meeting..
Are you coming in fancy dress, if so who are you coming as?
Well I do have a Supergirl outfit in the back of the wardrobe…you never know.
What can we expect from you at the next BIG
I’ll be playing lots of exclusive tracks from my album and some BIG! classics as well, see you there!!
